Today, I celebrate the magic of moonlight and the glory of dawn. Views from my backyard.

Drowning
magic moon whispers
lovingly between heart-shaped
leaves, follow me home

Siren's Call
silvery moonlight
silently seduces souls
captured by its light

dawn shyly rises
her fresh pink blush caresses
golden shores, dreaming

Barb, I love these photos, especially the third one w/ the pink. Your haiku is wonderful. Excellent alliteration.

Barb, we are speaking the same language today with Haiku. I didn’t blog one today, but I spent my morning with my middle school writers group using Haikubes to introduce them to the form. They wrote some impressive ones! I love the silvery moonlight that seduces….your two moon poems and a dawn poem provide gorgeous imagery. And the alliteration and economy of words adds to the effect of imagining these glorious pictures. Your pictures enhance the poems nicely, too. I need to come sit in your back yard and have coffee and breathe. Wow. Peaceful place!
