Boogie Shoes: Happy Dancing in March

One thing I’ve always enjoyed is dancing. I think this week I will post a few of my favorite dancing videos. Today’s video is from a very long time ago when my speech team created a commercial for “Boogie Boots” for our tv news program which features a favorite song, student and my middle son, who could do humorous impressions of Austin Powers.

Filmed by Eric Brown, the renowned TV News technological wizard. The quality of the video is not that great for some reason.

    Love the video, especially the girl. I, too, long for those disco days. Our youth passes so fast. Your poem is fun and reminds me of some good times early in my career.

    Hi, Barb! This video is so fun and brings back SO many memories! Gosh, I can just see the scattered disco-ball lights swirling around the room…I have never been a great dancer (too inhibited.. perhaps??) but I am thinking of changing that. 🙂 Also – love the last line of your poem especially.

    How fun! I popped in because I also wrote about dancing today. ”Jiggling in a fun new way” is great advice for some living room dancing this afternoon.

    What fun! Perfect for a Monday pick-me-up. I particularly like that rhyme in the middle of your poem–the unexpected find of it adds to the playfulness of the whole poem.

    Oh, I hear KC right now, Barb! I have, on more than one occasion, threatened to change out our overhead living room light and fan for a disco ball. I just need the mirrored lights sometimes and KC and Abba and The Bee Gees and Donna Summer to name a few. Awesome memories!

    Barb, I enjoyed this! I’m sure it would be one of your favorite dance videos. That is so awesome, and your poem is touching and makes me feel that love you have for your son. I will look forward to more dance videos in future posts.
