Slice of Life Post for March 20, 2024

“Good Old Days” photo probably taken by my sister Renee at my dad’s house in his dining room/kitchen. My husband celebrated a birthday yesterday. A friend of mine said he’s one of kind. I have no words to explain the depth of that statement.

I have a confession to make. I think my true soul mate is some stranger. Just kidding, but please enjoy the following video because this guy has got some groovy moves!

My salute to all the Baby Boomers born between 1946-1964! At 74 years old and a Baby Boomer myself, my generation remains strong, vibrant, active, full of life and hopeful toward the future! My generation rallying call is to keep the party going and keep on dancing! #oldschooltunes #dancingdadsoftiktok #dancingdad #daddance

This is absolutely fabulous! I wish I could get my hips and knees to move like that! And your poem is a beautiful love letter! And the form is perfect–almost like it’s dancing too! I bet you guys have a lot fun together.

    Barb,

That’s a steamy poem in harmony with the dancing video. Indeed, those are some groovy moves. They make me want to dance. I just wish it didn’t hurt so much. 😔 Love the look of your poem, the internal rhyme, and the quote. Perfection!

You have me roaring with laughter, and I have to explain to my husband what this is all about! hahaha Yes, Glenda’s right – this is steamy, Barb. And very dear! I, too, love a good dancer. The video is adorable – thanks for sharing this stranger with me.

How funny! I also wrote about dance today and used that same phrase. Appreciate the combination of words inspired by the catchy video. All the reminders one could need to keep moving as long as possible.

Whooooo hooooo! He is a charmer and a groover and probably a real character to boot! I love this poem. That looks a little like my town square, so I’m gonna be on the lookout for this dude dancing around my town….just in case. What a fun poem and awesome TikTok.

Haha, Barb, you are so funny! Happy birthday to your husband! That is a cute picture of you two. I agree Dancing King is pretty fine, and I like the thought of you singing to him from a distance.
