My friend Dev went to Washington D.C. to protest and got arrested. She’s a force of nature ready to take on the world at large. A constant giver and volunteer, she is an admirable person I would not hesitate to emulate.

Healthcare matters more than ever. Iowa is known for its high cancer rates.

Today I get to hear all about Dev’s Washington D. C. adventures at lunch with a few others, the perfect time to celebrate the power of women with my female friends.

    Your writing just draws me right in today. That first sentence wraps me up and won’t let go. I love that you included the pictures to help show the scene. A picture is worth a thousand words as you share these. Truth: never underestimate the power of a woman. You tell it, girl!

    Dev sounds amazing and has a lot of courage to get arrested. These are such challenging and scary times. Enjoy your lunch with your special friends. Love your picture of Lucerne. I loved it there many years ago.

    That’s a fantastic song, but it also has me lamenting the election and sad about the women enabling the 🍊💩 and the rocket exploder. Love those signs. Protesting is a civic duty now. Enjoy lunch.

    Barb, wow. I love the protest photos, and I’m sure it was fascinating to hear all about it at lunch today. Dev was arrested? That is frightening. So many great signs. I like your German haiku too!
