I am grateful for the wonderful Keokuk Art Center Board for their support throughout the 22 months I’ve worked there. Joyce, Louise, and Ginger have all helped contribute food for the first Friday receptions. Merle is always forgiving when I make a bookkeeping error. Jim has always asked interesting questions just to remind me he is paying attention, and Carla is consistently calling and showing up to keep things running well and offering advice. This morning, she and Louise taught a pysanky egg class, a Ukrainian ancient art form.

Pysanky Eggs

We had our last meeting at 4:30 Wednesday and they gave me a beautiful bouquet of flowers. Now, I need to get busy thanking them for their generous gift but also for their various skills with keeping the art center floating.

gorgeous bouquet
brightens my dull table
forever grateful
I’m also thankful for Michelle taking over the ship:) Now I can be their number one volunteer.

    Barb,

Those eggs are gorgeous. Truly stunning. The flowers also are very pretty. I would not be surprised to see you volunteering on a semi-full-time basis. I suspect you’re a bit of a workaholic. Congratulations on retirement number two.

Barb, those eggs are breathtakingly beautiful! All the photos are riotous displays of glorious color. I come away grateful for having seen them, and having learned more about art forms here.

Barb, what a lovely time of year to make eggs! I’d love to have those as my Easter decor – – beautiful! Those flowers, too, are just a thing of pure beauty. I know a big piece of your heart remains right there!

Oh, I have enjoyed these posts about your finishing up at the art center. Your gratitude comes through strongly in this post. All the best to Michelle as she takes over. I love that you are going to be there to help her and the art center be successful.
