I’ve been fighting for the past few days with my husband. He owes me an apology that I am sure I will not receive. Asshole! Should I get a divorce after 41 years of marriage? Hey, it hasn’t been easy.

Fortunately, yesterday was beautiful. I love spring weather, especially when it’s just the right temperature and I can enjoy the redbud trees along River Road. I captured a few moments during my walk. Nature is healing.

This eagle was swooping overhead. Of course, my fowl photos are never very clear.
I don’t think my video sound is very good. I tried to capture the bird calls and a frog that was croaking. Notice the redbud blooms? Redbud trees are my favorite in spring. I wish they kept that color all year, but then maybe they wouldn’t be as adored.

Wishing you a happy spring day in your neck of the woods!

Nature is definitely the place to go for a bit of healing. I’m glad it was there for you. The sounds of early spring are always a delight and it was fun to listen to your video. (I included some ocean calm video in my post today.) I appreciate how cleverly you used the word “spring” in your poem. Also, I hope you get that apology from your husband.

    Barb,

The audio on your recording is good. I love hearing the birds, and listening closely, I get the faint sound of the toad croaking. I love redbud trees, too. We have a non fruit bearing crab apple tree that produces beautiful blooms that are gone in the blink of an eye. Love the eagle picture, too. Lastly, men. šŸ˜‘

this was from the heart! So honest. I so agree with the healing power of nature. Maybe take your husband on a tough hike and wring it out of him? And by that I mean discuss all the feelings using ā€œIā€ statements šŸ˜†

Barb, I’m pretty sure nature and dogs have saved my marriage. May not have worked for the first one, but the second time around I’ve learned what you know – – that space and the peace of nature to let things settle a bit are the ticket.
